Inside FLE Clothing: Meet The Creative Director

Updated: Aug 11

If you’ve ever worn one of our chic African print outfits and wondered who’s behind the designs, here’s your chance to meet me — Evangeline — the heart and hands behind F.L.E Clothing. This is more than an introduction; it’s my journey, my passion, and my story.

Who Am I?

Hi! I’m Evangeline, the most loved daughter of the Most High God (yes, I said it 😂) and the proud Head, Creative Director of F.L.E Clothing — your go-to brand for chic, contemporary, and ready-to-wear African Print clothing.

Where I’m From

I was born in Nigeria and a citizen of the United Kingdom 🇬🇧.✨ Where are you reading this from? Drop it in the comments!

My Family

I’m the last born of six children — not entirely sure if I was pampered, but let’s just say anything I wanted, I usually got 😂 like all last-born enjoyed.

I’m happily married to the man of my dream, and God has blessed us with two handsome boys. My motherhood journey was not straightforward — after several years of trying to conceive, I learned first-hand that nothing is impossible with God.

Career Journey

I’m a fashion designer by passion, but I actually studied Chemical Engineering, Gas Engineering & Management. I worked for a few years in that field before answering my true calling. If you’re working in a career completely different from what you studied, wave 👋 in the comments!

My Faith

  • Best Man: Jesus

  • Best Book: The Bible

  • Best Scripture: Hebrews 4:12 — I create my world with the full understanding of this verse.

My Loves & Passions

I love:

  • Fashion and design

  • Sewing vibrant, high-quality African print outfits

  • Playing with colours

  • Taking pictures and making videos of our clothing

  • Seeing women look effortlessly chic and confident

I get fulfilled doing exactly what I do now — leading FLE Clothing. And to all our beautiful customers, I love you dearly. Thank you for your support ❤️.

What Does F.L.E Mean?

F.L.E stands for Fashion Lane by Evangel. Honestly, I never wanted to add my name, but here we are today 😊.

Why I Started F.LE Clothing

It all began with a burning desire to sew chic, well-tailored African outfits — first for myself, then for others. Initially, I was self-taught, creating unique looks without any formal training. Eventually, God laid it on my heart to learn to sew professionally.

I started with bespoke dresses, but soon felt a strong push to launch a ready-to-wear African clothing brand. That’s how FLE Clothing was born — out of a passion for African prints, chic designs, and exceptional tailoring.

Our Quality Promise

Every piece at F.L.E is made with utmost care, attention to detail, and high tailoring standards. Sometimes, we cancel designs if the quality isn’t perfect, even after multiple samples. Why? Because our mission is for you to look stunning, confident, and proud every time you wear FLE Clothing.

Celebrating African Culture

Every purchase you make supports talented artisans in Africa. All our fabrics are 100% African wax print cotton, sourced and sewn in Africa — helping to sustain communities and celebrate African heritage worldwide.

Let’s Connect!

Thank you for taking the time to read my story (yes, I know it’s long 😂).💬 Drop a ❤️ in the comments if you enjoyed this, share where you’re from, or tell me a style/design you’d love to see in our next collection.

With love,

Evangeline 💕
